Honey Festival at Woburn Abbey Gardens on 22nd September 2018

If you are interested about finding out more about bees and beekeeping, Bedfordshire Beekeepers Association is organising a Honey Festival to be held at Woburn Abbey Gardens from 10 am – 5 pm on Saturday 22 September 2018.

Beekeepers will be available to talk about beekeeping and show some of the equipment that they use. There will be some honey to taste and to buy, as well as some bee friendly plants. There will be lots of fun events going on such as trying on a beesuit, face painting, rolling candles, seeing bees in an observation  hive and a demonstration of skep making.

There will also be a honey show where there will be displays of honey and hive products, items cooked using honey, beewax models and craft items on bee-related themes.

Normal entrance fees to Woburn Abbey Gardens will apply, but there is no extra cost to attend the festival.

The schedule for the 2018 Show can be found here

Entries for the various classes of the show will be available to all members of the Association. The following guidance may be useful for those wishing to enter one or more classes.
